The New Medicine Service (NMS) is a free NHS service that provides support for people with long-term conditions newly prescribed a medicine to help improve medicines adherence.
If you have recently been prescribed a new medication it is important that you understand what the medicine is for, how to take it safely and what to look out for in the event that you experience side effects. Our pharmacist can talk to you about any medicines that you have been prescribed, but you may be eligible to receive this free NHS service if you have been prescribed medicines to treat the following conditions:
Asthma
Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)
Hypertension
Anti-coagulant
